Well, that went way faster than I expected. I still have some backend cleanup to do with Part I and some tweaking to do with the intro, but I suspect those changes may break saves from the end of Part I, so I'm releasing the first chapter of Part II, Mystery Machine, now.

I am really happy with how this came out, even if it's a bit on the shorter side (about 1 hour of new content here, bringing the total playtime to ~2 hours.). It's so satisfying using the game engine to render the scenes, animations, and effects, rather than completely relying on pre-rendered images.

Once the backend fixes are done, coding will start for The Curse of Whistler's Ghost, which will be a large, hours-long update with many new areas and a strong focus on exploration.
